Outdoor Adventures
Outward Bound
My week-long Outward Bound expedition to summit the nearly 14,500 ft Mt. Massive challenged both my physical endurance and my perspective on success. Arriving with no backpacking experience, I initially measured myself against everyone else, believing the summit was the only meaningful goal. After falling short of reaching the peak, I realized the journey itself—the friendships, encouragement, resilience, and appreciation for the mountains—was far more valuable than any destination. This experience fundamentally changed how I approach challenges in every aspect of my life.
Volleyball
As a varsity volleyball player during my freshman year, I learned the importance of communication, trust, and teamwork under pressure. Every match reinforced that success depends not only on individual performance but also on supporting teammates, adapting quickly, and staying resilient through both victories and setbacks.
